Migrated multiple kubernetes environments using istio from a sidecar mode to an ambient mode using waypoints, gateways and virtual services with zero downtime to players.
Reduced the infra usage by 25% by removing the sidecar containers that required a large memory footprint.
Migrated all Virtual Services to HTTP Routes by deploying k8s gateways using helm and writing code to automatically generate the httproutes per microservice given their spec files.
Tightly coupled deployment of microservice and httproutes via argocd creating better visibility of infrastructure.
Created, Deployed and Managed a controller responsible for managing the lifecycle of microservice routing using Istio Virtual Services while applying the appropriate CORS policies and HTTP methods to the specified Url Paths.
